ABOUT US
Glos Rocks is an exciting night of alternative & indie rock music being held at Gloucester Guildhall!
Gloucester's music scene and presence as a music city is overlooked by fans and artists alike, this is in no small part due to how close it is to Bristol & Birmingham, much larger music hubs.
This event is going to change that.
We've assembled an eclectic lineup of some of the most exciting and talked-about bands from the UK's teeming indie-rock scene to give Gloucester a night it won't forget.
From BILK's punchy rap-rock to second thoughts' melodic indie pop, the lineup represents the best of the UK's talent pool and we're excited to see them all take Gloucester!
Ran in conjunction with Gloucester Guildhall, Box Logo Music & the University of Gloucestershire.
With a lineup of The Rills, BILK, second thoughts, The Motive & Gloucestershire's very own Cigarette Social Club, it's going to be the biggest night of rock music in the county!
ABOUT THE LINEUP ///
Originally from Lincolnshire, The Rills are a three-piece indie rock trio making serious noise for themselves right now. With over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify off the back of just 7 single releases, their blend of expressive guitar rhythms and witty lyrics that encapsulate the small-town experience are seriously striking a chord with listeners. Off the back of this momentum, the band have played a number of high-profile venues and events and are making their Gloucester debut the day before their first official EP release "Do It Differently", which will showcase a streamlining in the band's sound and will inevitably take them to new heights.

Essex-based rock-rap trio BILK have certainly made a splash since bursting onto the scene with their angsty blend of punk, rap and indie music offering a raw social commentary on British culture. They've extensively toured since the release of their debut single "Give Up" and notably opened up for Louis Tomlinson in 2021 and 2022, expanding their reach to a wider audience. Also making their Gloucestershire debut, the band is recently fresh off a tour of the UK and are gearing to release their self-titled debut album.

second thoughts' have gone from strength to strength in recent years since arriving on the scene in 2018 - carving out their own lane in the indie pop/rock-sphere. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Bombay Bicycle Club and Pavement, the band's mix of emotive and hooky lyrics built around melodic, guitar-heavy instrumentation have earned the band a dedicated fanbase, amassing millions of streams as they gear up to release a follow-up project to 2019's "stay hydrated" EP.

The Motive are a SW London indie-rock band who's music falls into a 'goldilocks zone' between nostalgia and modern influences, backed by a reverb-heavy soundscape. Since arriving on the scene in 2018, the band have only gone from strength to strength - being recognised by BBC Introducing, Liverpool Sound City and touring with big name bands.

Originally formed in Birmingham but now based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Cigarette Social Club are one of the county's most promising musical prospects right now and are not to be ignored. Combining introspective yet catchy lyrics with infectious riffs to create that classic indie rock sound, it's no surprise the band has gained themselves' a dedicated local fanbase in recent years, as well as playing venues across the country, supporting artists such as Glos Rocks headliner BILK. 2022 looks set to be a massive year for the band as they gear up to release the follow up to their debut EP, 2021's "D.I.Y.", kicking off the year performing at the biggest rock night in the county.
